Subject: Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order is Rescinded for SNS 217C; Three Additional Products Contain Undisclosed Pesticide Ingredients

Stop Sale Rescinded for SNS 217C All Natural Spider Mite Control Concentrate
The statewide Stop Sale, Use or Removal Order for SNS 217C All Natural Spider Mite Control Concentrate (WA Reg. No. 998660-10002) was rescinded on July 27, 2016 by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA), and the product may now be distributed. The Order was issued on June 29, 2016, based on laboratory testing that has subsequently been found to be in error.

The WSDA regrets any difficulties this may have caused to the manufacturer, distributors and customers. The WSDA will be updating the allowed pesticides list, and the PICOL database will be updated to reflect this change as soon as possible.

Additional Products Test Positive for Undisclosed Pesticides
The WSDA has detected residues of one or more undisclosed pesticide ingredients in the following 3 products. One of these products (SM 90) contains an ingredient (Salicylic acid) that is not allowed for use on marijuana, which could cause marijuana to fail the Washington State Department of Health pesticide testing requirements for compliant marijuana products. In addition, Salicylic acid could result in the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board confiscating and destroying marijuana if it is found on products above the recently adopted action levels.

Unregistered Products:

1. Mega Wash, unregistered product

2. SM 90, unregistered spray adjuvant

3. Ultimate Wash, unregistered product

The WSDA has issued statewide Stop Sale, Use or Removal Orders for these products, and these products are not allowed for use on marijuana in Washington until further notice.

The WSDA will be working with the registrants, manufacturers, and other agencies to resolve these issues.

Action Required

Producers

Immediately discontinue use of these products and remove these products from the licensed premises.
Advise all processors to whom you have sold marijuana treated with these products that the marijuana may have been treated with an undisclosed pesticide.

Processors
Provide a notice about the possible use of the undisclosed pesticide to retailers who carry your products that may have been treated with these products.

Retailers
Post the notice provided by the processor in a conspicuous location on your licensed premises.

Medical Marijuana Database Operational

OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) announced this morning that the medical marijuana database is operational. The database is necessary to produce medical marijuana “recognition” cards.

Patients must take their authorization form to a licensed medical marijuana store to receive their recognition card.

Under the new medical marijuana law, recognition cards are required if patients and designated providers 21 and older wish to have access to the following benefits:

Purchase products sales-tax free.
Purchase up to three times the current legal limit for recreational users.
Purchase high-THC infused products.
Grow more than four plants in their residence.
Have full protection from arrest, prosecution, and legal penalties, although patients will still have an affirmative defense.
Patient safety is a priority, and DOH is committed to ensuring that all marijuana and marijuana products sold are safe.

If you are an authorized retail store you can find user guides and contact technical support by visiting http://airlift.support. See previous news releases on the medical marijuana database.
